Hi, I'm Kim.

I grew up in a small coal mining community. My very fondest memories were spent outdoors, in the mountains. On a little bit of a whim I traded the mountains for the beach about a week after high school. I spent 3 years in Southern California (where I met Brandon in 2004) before heading to serve a church mission in the Pacific Northwest. Brandon and I were married in 2007.

After spending many years living in various parts of CA and AZ (2 yrs), we found the perfect pocket of paradise in Fallbrook CA. 

It’s near enough to the ocean that we can enjoy the beach for a few hours (although we often spend entire days). And far enough away to avoid crowds and traffic (mostly). We love the ocean and our tiny little homestead, but even more have found a priceless community of wonderful people to do life with. 

My days are filled with the chaos and love that comes with 6 children. I love baking all things sourdough and learning about herbs & homeopathy. Between sports and plays and church and homeschool, I try to make time each week for a few early mornings of beach volleyball or paddle boarding.
